Morning Meeting Plans First Week of School

·

It’s the first week of school and your to-do lists are overflowing so planning for morning meeting might get put on the back burner for a little, no problem! I am sharing my plans for the first week of morning meeting with my class with you here.

These greetings and activities are thoughtfully chosen to account for students:

  • wanting fun memorable moments together
  • seeking connections with other students
  • learning about each other
  • being unfamiliar with each others’ names
  • feeling uncomfortable in a new space or with new people

The first week plan also accounts for teacher time constraints and facilities authentic moments to teach morning meeting expectations.

The morning meeting area of the planning sheet is left blank because your message to your students might vary greatly from mine so I want you to have room to plan that! Follow my Instagram to see my daily messages!
